Delegation of Distinction!

Well done BV MUN!

Once again we have achieved recognition as a delegation. Previously called Premiere Delegation, we are now considered a Delegation of Distinction. 

Three BV MUN delegates took home organ area awards!!!!

A few Y&G conference FAQs-

Q: Can I bring  my DSi, it's really cool. Can I bring it?"
A: NO
 Q: Do I really need an ID?
A: Yes, it's a military base in a post 9/11 world. We all have to have identification
Q: What if I can't find one?
A: Email us immediately. (See the advisor tab on this blog) You will need a suitable substitute now. Last year's ID is better than nothing.
Q: Do I need money?
A: Please bring a few bucks (~$7) for lunch on the road home. We will stop somewhere in King City so that kids don't starve on the road home to Salinas. Sometimes, delegations sell snacks, so you could bring a couple of bucks for that too if you want.Q: What will the weather be like?
A: None of us went to college for meteorology, so we are checking websites. You should too.
As of now, it looks like the lows are about 46*

We are in need of parent volunteers to drive students to Camp Bob after school Friday 3/14 and pick us up Sunday 3/16 at 12:00.

Non-conference participants who want a sweatshirt must order now with Mrs. Caldiera. 

See's Candy Fundraiser Orders Due Now

If you have forgotten your fundraising forms, please bring them to Mrs. Caldeira in Room A-3 by Monday, January 27th.

Conference Dates

2014 Conference Dates have been confirmed. Please mark your calendars. 

Friday, March 14-16, 2014 training conference at Camp Roberts

      (A.K.A. BOB) Students will leave for the training conference AFTER school on Friday, March 14 and return around dinner time on Sunday, March 16.

Thursday, April 24-27, 2014 Summit at Hyatt Irvine

Students will leave Thursday, April 24 in the morning from BV for SUMMIT.

Students will miss both Thursday and Friday of attendance at BV, however Youth  and Government is one of the FEW programs that is approved by the state of California... therefore students are not "absent" in the traditional meaning of the word...

Students will return late Sunday night.

Sees Candy Fundraising

MUN Delegates are selling See's Candy to supplement the cost of the MUN conferences. Please ask your student about the sale and help them to sell candy! Delegates who sell candy will earn credit towards their individual program fees. 

Candy orders are due on Friday, Jan 24 at the MUN meeting. Candy will be distributed in time for Valentine's Day.
