April Meetings

Due to Spring break and BV half days, we will be unable to meet again until 4/12/13.

The holiday schedule leaves only Friday 4/12 and Friday 4/19 for BV MUN meetings before Summit.

It is therefore VERY important that you follow this blog for more information.

We will be sharing a big charter bus to LA with SF and Albany delegations. This is great because we can all relax and enjoy the ride. BV MUNsters will leave from BV on Thursday April 25 for LA. (You will come to school with your bags packed.)

IMPORTANT Conference Changes for Training

Dear BV MUNsters,
     There has been an unforeseen change of training location and schedule due to an insurgence of actual (live and in person) military units at Camp Roberts, we will be training for the Summit Experience at Gunn High School in Palo Alto.
     CA YMCA Youth and Government has promised to pass on any savings of fees due to this location change. Our southern california constituents will prepare on Saturday. WE (BV considered a northern CA delegation) will prepare for Summit on SUNDAY, MARCH 17, 2013! .

(Kiss a blarney stone for us!)

MUN SUMMIT Training SUNDAY MARCH 17-

 5:15 AM    Arrive at BV Middle School Parking Lot

Crawl into your chauffeur driven vehicle
BRING - A backpack with snacks, water, writing implements, and notepad
7:00 AM    Arrive at Gunn High School, Breakfast provided
8:30 AM    Training Sessions; Conflict Resolution, Public Speaking, Time Management, Cultural & Ethnic Diversity, Current World Events, Leadership
12:00 PM   LUNCH - Provided
1:15 PM    MUN Olympics
2:15 PM    Program Area Overview
4:00 PM   Cookie Break
5:15 PM   Program Area Sessions; Security Council, General Assembly, ECOSOC, IJC, International Press Corps, Non-Govt Orgs (NGO)
5:30 PM   Dinner - Provided
7:00 PM   Closing Session
7:45 PM   Leave for BV
9:30 PM   Anticipated latest arrival back to BV Middle. We will use cell phones to let parents know when we get to Gilroy.
